Yesterday my sister Linda ( Jonathan’s mom) , our mother Ora ,and myself attended the Lifesharing Day of Remembrance Ceremony at the Salli Lynn Chapel located at The Greenwood Memorial Park & Mortuary . This was to remember those that have passed from us in the last year and have donated organs to help those that are still here live on. It was a difficult but very beautiful morning. Many other families were in attendance to remember their loved ones. There was a video presentation with pictures of those we had lost and donated.
There were two guest speakers. Larry Bourget, who’s son is living today because of a liver transplant 29 years ago and Allyson Watson who survived 2nd and 3rd degree burns over 86% of her body in the 2003 San Diego wildfires. She is also a recipient of organ (skin) donations.(http://allysonwatson.com/about.html) It was a very emotional but inspiring morning which ended with a rose ceremony and a time to mingle with refreshments.

As soon as the video presentation from yesterday is available I will post it here on the blog. Thank you for stopping by Jonathans Dream and I will talk to you again soon.

Angels are forever in our hearts and minds... Our memories of Jonathan live on in his friends and family....He has touched us all...
This has been the hardest 7 months of my life. For one I still cannot go visit Jonathan. I see pictures of him and feel completely empty. My family has done so much in his honor but I can't. To this day I still hear his laughter and voice, and wish he were here. Then I realize he is in a much better place and what I want does not matter.
To Bud, I love you and miss you soooooooo very much. You are my Angel and can't wait to see you again.
Hey Jonathan,
Just wanted to stop & wish you a "Happy First Heavenly Birthday"!!
I'm sure that time has flown by for you in paradise cuz it's really not an issue anymore. I know that you are surrounded by unimaginable love and beauty beyond description.
We are keeping on day to day here as you already know cuz you are watching over us. I feel your presence all the time in rainbows and fields of green & especially in the strength of your amazing mother. Please keep watching over her!!! She misses you terribly!!!
We love you & will never forget you!!!

Dear Linda, I just got home from the ceremony during which time a good friend of yours, Mary, spoke about you and about your beautiful little angel Jonathon. I was so inspired and touched by your strength. I saw you consoling Mary when she came back to her seat. It was so powerful - you, the one whose precious child was gone too soon. I was there to support a good friend whose wife died one year ago. Her name is in the program, Ms. Mychal Thornton. On behalf of the Thornton and Taylor families, thank you for being there this morning and for your strength and courage.
