Lifesharing Day of Remembrance

Yesterday my sister Linda ( Jonathan’s mom) , our mother Ora ,and myself attended the Lifesharing Day of Remembrance Ceremony at the Salli Lynn Chapel located at The Greenwood Memorial Park & Mortuary . This was to remember those that have passed from us in the last year and have donated organs to help those that are still here live on. It was a difficult but very beautiful morning. Many other families were in attendance to remember their loved ones. There was a video presentation with pictures of those we had lost and donated.

There were two guest speakers. Larry Bourget, who’s son is living today because of a liver transplant 29 years ago and Allyson Watson who survived 2nd and 3rd degree burns over 86% of her body in the 2003 San Diego wildfires. She is also a recipient of organ (skin) donations.(

On behalf of my family, I would like to thank the people at Lifesharing and those like them across the country. These people are truly angels with special gifts of compassion and comfort that are almost indescribable. Please take a moment to visit their web page to learn about the miracles that happen everyday http://lifesharing.org/

As soon as the video presentation from yesterday is available I will post it here on the blog. Thank you for stopping by Jonathans Dream and I will talk to you again soon.
